What are dental implants?

Dental implants are a long-term option for people who have lost a single tooth or multiple teeth. They are designed to replace the root section of the tooth and are planted into sockets in the jaw bone. As implants are made from titanium, they are able to integrate into the bone tissue and this provides increased stability and functionality.

Dental implants are suitable for a wide range of patients, as they can be attached to bridges, single crowns and dentures.

What is All-on-4?

All-on-4 is a same day implant treatment that enables patients to enjoy the benefits of dental implants much faster. Traditionally, implants take several months to settle before the restoration is fitted, but in this case, the implants and new teeth can be placed on the same day. All-on-4 differs to traditional treatment because only four implants are required, as opposed to between 6 and 10, which is the usual quantity required for a full arch of teeth.

With All-on-4, two implants are placed at the front of the jaw, with the other two positioned at the back. The back implants sit at 45 degree angles, rather than 90 degree angles and this increases stability.

What are the benefits of implant treatment?

Implants are the closest treatment option to natural teeth and once they are in place you will feel like you have your natural teeth back. You can bite, eat and speak without any fuss or worry and you will have a beautiful smile to show off. Implants are designed to last for many years, they help to reduce bone loss and they do not interfere with the surrounding tooth or bone structure.
