If you’ve injured your tooth, you’ve bitten down on something hard and heard a suspicious crack or you’ve had tooth pain for a while, a new crown may be in order. Our high grade porcelain crowns are just the ticket to restore your tooth and we will do everything we can to ensure you are pain-free and smiling again in no time!
Crowns are restorations, which sit over the top of the tooth and help to restore and protect a tooth that has been damaged as a result of trauma, an accident or decay. There are various different materials that can be used for crowns and we recommend porcelain, as it creates amazing natural aesthetics.
Before we place a new crown, we treat any decay or signs of injury and remove decayed tissue from the tooth. We then clean your tooth thoroughly and prepare it for the new crown. We are fortunate to have Cerec technology at the practice and this means that we can design and fit a new crown in a single day, rather than sending off a mould to the laboratory and waiting for it to be returned, which usually takes around 2 weeks. Cerec uses images of the tooth to draw up detailed 3D designs, which are then sent to the milling machine. Seconds later, the new crown is ready to be fitted.
Our crowns are built to last and we use the finest quality materials to enable you to enjoy a confident smile and strong, healthy teeth for years to come.
