At Aqua Dental Spa we aim to make every patient feel calm and relaxed as soon as they arrive and we want you to feel confident enough to come for 6 monthly check-ups without worrying or feeling anxious.

Our team is really friendly and you will be greeted with a smile every time you come. We are a Dental Phobia Certified practice and we have many years of experience in providing care for patients who suffer from anxiety, nervousness or dental phobia.

We can help you to overcome your dental fears

As well as making you feel comfortable, reassuring you and taking the time to offer clear explanations and chat to you about your treatment, we also provide sedation, which can really help to make patients feel more relaxed before and during their treatment.

Sedation is a means of making the body and mind feel completely calm and it involves using sedative medication. This is not the same as putting somebody under general anaesthetic and you will remain conscious while you have treatment; this means that you can chat to your dentist if you want to and you will be able to hear what’s going on, although it is likely that you will feel drowsy and tired and you probably won’t remember much when you come around after treatment.

Is sedation safe?

Our dentists have expertise and experience in using sedatives and we consider this a very safe treatment. We monitor your condition during treatment and stay with you until you have come around afterwards. We are on hand to answer any questions and we will make sure you have a clear understanding of what is going to happen before treatment.

After you have been sedated, you will not be able to drive for 24 hours, so we advise you to arrange a lift home.
