bonding-case-3-beforeIf you have gaps between your teeth, this can affect your confidence. When you smile, you don’t want to be worrying about what you look like or what other people think. It’s very rare to have a naturally flawless smile, but thankfully, there are some amazing treatments out there that can give you a beautiful smile, and ensure you feel more confident. One of these options is dental bonding.

About Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a cosmetic dental treatment, which is designed to eradicate minor imperfections. This is a versatile, affordable, and painless solution for flaws such as chips, worn teeth, misshapen teeth and small gaps between the teeth. It’s often considered a cheaper and simpler alternative to veneers.

Bonding usually takes around an hour, and only a single session is required. Your dentist will examine your teeth, and then use bonding material, known as composite, to make aesthetic changes to your smile. At room temperature, the composite looks and feels like dental putty. It can be shaped and moulded to carry out a range of repairs. Your dentist can fill in chips, build up worn edges and reduce the size of spaces between the teeth using their experience and a small amount of dental composite. We match the shade of the composite to your natural teeth, so you won’t be able to tell the difference between your natural tooth and the composite.

Once your dentist has positioned the composite, they will shine a curing light onto the material to set it. This doesn’t take long, and there’s no pain involved. Once the composite is firm, your dentist will make any final adjustments to ensure a perfect result. You can then look in the mirror and see the difference just an hour in the dental chair can make.
