We are delighted to offer Cerec technology, which enables us to offer same-day restorative treatment.

What is Cerec and what are the advantages?

Cerec is a form of CAD/CAM technology, which is used to create snug, high quality restorations on-site. Many dentists still use the traditional method of creating moulds and sending them away to a dental laboratory, which takes around 2 weeks. With Cerec, we are able to design and manufacture restorations on-site, so the process is much faster. Cerec takes care of the entire process, from imaging and design to milling. We can make you custom inlays and onlays, veneers and dental crowns in a single appointment.

Cerec offers advantages for dentists and patients alike. The treatment process is shortened from 2 weeks to less than 2 hours. Patients can enjoy their new smile straight-away without worrying or having to think about putty moulds, temporary restorations or finding the time to schedule separate appointments.

Many patients dislike the feeling of having the dental putty in the mouth and this can be particularly unpleasant if you have a sensitive gag reflex. With Cerec, this process is eliminated, which not only increases comfort, but also leads to greater accuracy. Cerec also gives patients and dentists more influence in the design of the restoration and patients need fewer appointments, which eliminates the need for multiple injections.
